More than 7000 Km on our bikes. From the last nomadic populations left in Asia to the backcountries of China, from the Tibetan highlands to the overpopulated territories of India. How to understand what is behind those eyes without really knowing their history and their culture? Our brief intrusion in their lives may allow us to share their smiles, a distant look, maybe more... Our brief intrusion in their world may also allow us to better understand our own world as we will see it from afar, instead of living in it...
For a long time, we dreamt of a long, physically and mentally hard adventure. We wanted by the intermediate of images and adventure, question life and meet OTHERS and share theirs.
We decided to go to Mongolia, a nomadic land, where family traditions and nature are what matters in life. We then headed to western China, an effervescent nation, which make us question our place and role in society. We knew that Xinjiang and Tibet would have us reflect on a simplistic life, on happiness and on human rights. We finally headed to Nepal and India where you literally need to find "your place in life". From the immense steppes in Mongolia to the overpopulated plains in India, here is what we have to say and what we want to share with you.
